Biografie

Mike Müller was born on October 25, 1963, in Grenchen in the Swiss canton Solothurn. He grew up in Zuchwil and in Trimbach. After finishing school in 1984 in Olten, Müller studied philosophy in Zurich. During this time, he also started acting with the Olten theatre group.

Müller attended acting workshops in Berlin, in Vienna, and in Zurich. He then performed at several theatres, including Schauspielhaus Zurich, Theater Basel and the Casino theatre in Winterthur, where he played in Molière"s "The Miser", or in Henrik Ibsen"s "Brand". Besides his theatre work, Müller became known to a wider public with his political satire productions and his parodies in the satire program "Viktors Spätprogramm" on Swiss TV.

Müller has starred in movie and TV productions since 2001. He for instance appeared in "Ernstfall in Havanna" ("Crisis in Havana", 2002), a political comedy about a dumb Swiss diplomat who nearly causes a second Cuban crisis, in "Achtung, fertig, Charlie!" ("Ready, Steady, Charlie! ", 2002/2003), a reckless, yet enormously successful comedy about a Swiss military training school, and in the boys adventure "Mein Name ist Eugen" (2004/2005), based on the popular youth novel by Klaus Schädelin.

In 2006, Mike Müller played the title role of the famous Swiss national hero in Mike Eschmann"s folk hero parody "Tell" (2006/2007).
