Hanns Christian Mueller was born in 1949 in Munich. He has worked in various theaters, including the Muenchner Kammerspiele, since 1974. He began working in television in 1978 and moved into cinema with the cult-films "Kehraus" (1983) and "man spricht deutsh" (1987). His other films include: "Longer Saturday" ("Langer Samstag", 1992), the "Tatort"-episode "... und die Musi spielt dazu" (TV, 1994), "Willkommen in Kronstadt" (TV, 1996), and "Germanikus" (2001).
