Jesper Moeller
Biography
Jesper Moeller, a native of Sweden, has been working as an animation specialist and as an illustrator for films as diverse as "Der kleene Punker" ("The Little Punker", 1992), "Asterix in America" (1994), "Felidae" (1994), or "Hilfe! Ich bin ein Fisch" ("Help! I"m a Fish", 2000) since the early 1990s. In 2006, Moeller and Stefan Fjeldmark were assigned to direct the prestigious animation film "Asterix and the Vikings". Furthermore, Moeller was also in charge of the character design.
After the adaptation of Helme Heine"s children"s book "Mullewapp – Das große Kinoabenteuer der Freunde" ("Friends Forever, 2009, co-directed with Tony Loeser), Moeller has turned to a classic of German children"s entertainment for his next animation film project: With "Der Sandmann und der verlorene Traumsand" (2009) he is going to transfer the adventures of the famous "Sandmännchen" from the ARD early evening program to the big movie screen.
