The Nuclear Conspiracy
Susan Galloway is rattled out of her daily life by a call from her journalist friend, who has been on the tail of a big story for weeks and now appears to have come under fire. Fearing for his health, she goes looking for him together with her daughter. Accompanied by the photo-journalist Steve Lensky, who hopes to make a melodramatic story out of her odyssey around half the world, she follows a cargo ship – one which apparently disappears in a very mysterious way and with it not only her friend but also several hundred Castor-Containers which are to be disposed of in the Australian desert in an illegal hushed-up action of the nuclear industry.
