Born in Munich in 1974, she grew up in Munich and in Bolzano. Having studied politics and media, she worked for several years as an assistant director and graduated in film directing from the International Film School in Cologne in 2005. Since then she has worked as a freelance writer and director; she is also committed to working with young people. The script of "Romeos" received the Cologne Screenplay Award; the film, which was based on this script, marks her debut as a feature film director.
