In his documentary film, Michael Glawogger deals with the topic of hard physical work, a topic that is more and more disappearing from the public′s mind. In doing so, Glawogger makes inroads to the most diverse areas of work: He portrays a Ukrainian coal miner, a merchant on the Nigerian livestock market, a Pakistani ship wrecker, and a worker on the Indonesian sulphur piles.
