Gabriele, a student of marine biology, is planning to leave Germany to live with her boyfriend in Australia. To make her dream come true, she starts to work in a peep show where she gets to know a lot of strange nightly characters. Gabriele is especially drawn to cab driver Schirmer and tells him her story. Finally, several of these encounters lead to the decision whether Gabriele will make her way to Australia in the end.
