Valkyrie
Germany, the year 1943: Appalled by the downfall of
his home country under Hitler′s rule and the waging war, German army
officer Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg joins a resistance group
dedicated to end the regime of the "Fuhrer". Many of the group′s key
members are high-ranking officers of the Wehrmacht, seeking to
assassinate Hitler and to take the crucial command of the troops.
Employing Hitler′s very own emergency plan, dubbed "Operation
Valkyrie", Stauffenberg and his comrades hope to trick Nazi bureaucracy
into surrendering all power to them. On July 20th 1944, they make their
move: A bomb is planted and detonated in a bunker during Hiter′s visit.
But albeit near perfect planning, events take a different course.
