Adaptation of the classic Swedish childrens book by Selma Laerlöf: Rascal Nils Holgersson lives with his family on a farm in Sweden. Always playing pranks, he especially angers the farm animals. One day, he gets into an argument with a leprechaun, who, enraged by Nils' behaviour, shrink him to the size of a tiny imp. When a flock of wild geese passes the farm, the resident goose Martin joins them on their way to the Far North with Little Nils riding along on his back.  This marks the beginning of a great adventure, which takes Nils to the remote regions of Lapland.
