Slapstick comedy starring Heinz Erhardt: Police constable Eberhard Dobermann puts his heart and soul in his job as a traffic policeman and fastidiously reports every traffic offense. But then, of all things, his daughter falls in love with the main traffic offender, the junior head of a car factory. When widower Dobermann wins the first prize in the tombola of the police sports meeting, a brand new Volkswagen, he secretly gets his driver′s license and – after a chaotic driving test – becomes a motorist himself who does not take the traffic rules too seriously. Finally, Dobermann finds happiness with the flower shop owner who is also widowed.
