A big city, somewhere in Germany. During a time frame of 24 hours, the paths of twelve people, all of them crazed out characters who nevertheless could not be more different – ex-convicts and illegal immigrants, corrupt policemen and journalists – cross in a fateful way. Among poverty and fear, hope and rage, they all try to find their luck in the everyday madness that is called life. One kilogram of heroine plays a decisive role, and a 12-year old boy from whose perspective the film′s story is told. The boy′s existence is hanging by a thread – a coin toss is supposed to decide about his life. But at the same time, it seems that the fate of all protagonists is lead by ludicrous coincidences rather than by deliberate choices.
