Scene-by-scene remake of the 1997 film by the same name, this time set in the USA. Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke directed both versions of the film. The film tells the story of a family of father, mother, and their small son, who spend their summer vacation in a remote vacation home at a lake. Shortly after their arrival, two decent-looking young men cordially introduce themselves and ask for a couple of eggs. But pretty soon, the mood changes and the neighbourly visit turns into a threat. The two young men overpower the family and calmly start their cruel and sadistic game that none of the family members is going to survive.
