Inhalt
Morris Flinn and his friend Macky, two ineffective private investigators, like to act like Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Their masquerade works so well that even the police asks them for professional help. Mary and Jane Berry, two young girls, are to accept an inheritance of their amiable uncle, an honest scholar. But in fact, their uncle is very much alive and a also wanted forger who managed to escape from the police several times. At the Paris World Exhibition Morris and Macky can prove their capabilities – and those of their paragons – and help to arrest the band of forgers in meticulous detail work. But then Holmes and Watson are arrested and their identity is questioned. Writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the originator of the literary figures, registers this arrest with a laugh.
