Synopsis
The Call of the Jungle
Bobby Roeder is living in the middle of the Indian jungle with his devoted animals. Right in his vicinity also lives the scientist Helmer, a butterfly researcher, with his adorable daughter Rose. But when the beautiful American woman Dina Morris anchors her yacht along the edge of the jungle, their peace and harmony is disturbed. Bobby and Dina soon take to each other. But when William Edwards, a member of Dina′s group kills a magnificent white stallion, the native tribes start to hunt for Bobby whom they hold responsible for the killing. Then Edwards preys on Bobby′s tiger, Byla. When Rose tries to protect Byla, she is hit by a gunshot. Finally, the jungle animals can drive away the intruders. Back on her yacht, Dina sees Bobby returning to the jungle on the back of an elephant. He is looking after Rose who to his relief is only slightly injured. In the end, Bobby and Rose realize that they belong together.
