Born in Balingen in 1971. Studied in
Erlangen and at the Film Academy
Ludwigs burg. First short films starting in
1992. His graduation film "Barracuda Dancing" won Best New Director at the
1999 German Television Awards. Since this
TV film frequent collaboration with screenwriter
Daniel Nocke. Twice Krohmer received
the Adolf Grimme Prize in Gold. His feature
film debut "Sie haben Knut" ("They've got Knut") was awarded the Prize of the
German Film Critics for Best Screenplay.
