Germany in the summer of 2006: Everybody from Berlin to Munich is celebrating one big party as the whole country is suffering from World Cup fever. While the fans were celebrating in the soccer stadiums, soccer fan Sönke Wortmann, the director of "Das Wunder von Bern" ("The Miracle of Bern"), accompanied the German national team with his camera through the tournament. In his film, Wortmann covers the German team's most crucial moments during the World Cup: German manager Jürgen Klinsmann's motivational speeches and the parties after the victories as well as the great disappointment after the team's semi-final loss. In the film, players and staff as well as fans on the street comment the events surrounding the German team during World Cup 2006.
