Leon Geller

Leon Geller was born and raised in New Jersey, USA, as the son of Jewish parents. As a young man, he went to Israel to do his military service. Afterwards, he went to film school in Tel Aviv where he works for the Israeli TV since his graduation in 2006. In 2007, he started to work on a feature-length documentary film together with Marcus Vetter: Vetter and Geller accompanied a Palestinian father on a journey through Israel to visit those Israeli children whose lives had been saved by the organs the Palestinian had donated after his son was killed by Israeli soldiers. "Das Herz von Jenin" ("The Heart of Jenin") opened in movie theatres in spring 2009.
